"Mountaincritters"

The furred and feathered family.

I grew up all my life with animals. I know no other life nor would I want to. Animals are the most precious thing to me 'sides my wife and family.

Linda, like I, dragged any and every creature home when we where young...and we still do. *smile* No wonder I love her.

Before we start the critter tour, all of  "Mountaincritters" would like to take a moment to give our thoughts to those loving pets that became homeless in the terrorist tragedies.  Bless you all lil beasties...we love you and hope you've found new homes!

Hey all!  I'm Snake Bite, Thunders' mate.  See what we have to herd up here daily?  Lotsa work but we truly love it as family is important to us.

Enjoy the critters....

These are our cats, Baby and Peanut. Too cute!!

Our loveable dog, Taz (Beagie). One escapade after another with this one.  Lucky he's cute!

Our horses, Spice (Arabian) and Puchalena (Peruvian). So far the only two horses we own.  Spoiled rotten!

And our new addition, Gizmo! I purchased this for my wife a few years ago so she can have a coffee friend in the mornings. This bird is very much a character. Enough so that he has an upcoming page.  So stay tuned.

Tis our critters at present. We love them dearly. But look at their faces...how could you not love them?

And across the fence....

And our bunny gal on the way to the barn..."FLOWER".  Yup...she greets us every morning on the way to feed our horses and throughout the day.  Wild but predictable.

And our Sage Grouse that hang around every fall knowing that we will protect them from the nasty, evil hunters.  They have a tendency to scare the hell out of you when you spook one of them, not knowing they are there.  Not sure who flies farther...you or grouse.

And of course...our neighborhood bull.  Glad he has a good attitude.  Then again...I'm not a cow.

Our wild horses.  Wyoming is known and loved for them.

And our unwanted guest...the packrat.  They are Desert Woodrats.  Destructive and thievish to anything shiny and bright.  They hide them in their nests, or holes.  We set "live traps" up to catch them and then release them to the wild.  Cute as all get out....but what a pain!

This page is rodent approved...just thought you might like to know that. *chuckle*

A great organization that promotes caring of all critters.
